Papers presented to international conference in Beijing
Almost 1,000 delegates gathered in Beijing from 13-17 July 2014 for the International Congress on Sound and Vibration, where Track 21 researchers gave two papers and co-investigator David Thompson gave a distinguished keynote paper.
Jou-Yi (Zoe) Shih presented her research on Assessment of track-ground coupled vibration induced by high-speed trains and Xiangying Zhang presented her work on Influence of ground impedance on the sound radiation of a railway track.
Meanwhile, Professor David Thompson gave a distinguished keynote paper Railway noise and vibration: the use of appropriate models to solve practical problems.
In addition, there were four other papers on railway noise and vibration from the University of Southampton.
