High Speed Rail conference 8-10 December 2014: call for papers

2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Shinkansen high speed line in Japan. The University of Birmingham is marking this historic occasion by holding an international conference on High Speed Rail.

The academic sessions will address high speed rail perspectives on: Geotechnics; Control and Communications; Track and Train Design; Capacity; Dynamics and Aerodynamics; Noise and Vibration; Station Design and Ergonomics; Economics.

Abstract submission (pdf) is now open for the event’s academic sessions. Abstracts of 200-300 words on HSR-related research should be submitted by 31 August 2014.
